The Omicron chapter was founded in 2016 in East Lansing, Michigan. The organization has over 75 active members with majors ranging from typical business concentrations such as accounting, supply chain, and finance to computer science, engineering, and neuroscience. PGN has over a 90% acceptance rate into the Broad College of Business, an average GPA of 3.85, and with over 80% of our members having internship experience, we take great satisfaction in our accumulated knowledge and experience.
Our Pillars
Professional
PGN members have the opportunity to learn skills that they may not learn within the classroom. During your time in PGN, you will have the opportunity to participate in weekly workshops that cover various topics such as how to devise a stand out resume, crafting the perfect LinkedIn profile that appeals to recruiters, cold networking, and much more. Additionally, you will be able to network with guest speakers from established companies, our extensive alumni network, and more! We also have taken professional trips to Chicago, New York City and Detroit.
Philanthropy
At PGN, we are dedicated to give back to the community of East Lansing. Some of the organizations we have helped include Greater Lansing Food bank, American Brain Tumor Association, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and many more! Our philanthropy events range from your typical canned food/clothing drives, nature clean ups, and volunteering to pieing brothers, Mario Kart tournaments, charity poker games, and more all to raise money for local organizations.
Social
PGN thrives off of our work hard/play hard mentality. Social events give brothers the opportunities to unwind after a long week and make lifelong memories and friendships. Some events that we host include hayride, semi formal, formal, ski trip, big/little reveal, and more! Many of these social events have turned into events brothers look forward to annually.
